October already?! Wow, this year is already going too fast! We've been to the pumpkin patch and now are anxiously awaiting HALLOWEEN! We will have our party on the 29th and 30th! Remember the children will wear their costumes! I've been asking the children what they would like to be for Halloween and some answers are very interesting! I can't wait to see the children all dressed up. The children can bring a wrapped treat for each of the children in their class. MWF classes have 14 children each and the T/T class has eight.

I am so impressed with the children in writing their names and learning their letters and sounds. They are doing so well! Keep up the good work! Your children are amazing!!

We made it through our first week with just a few tears, but now we are doing great and excited about each new day! Every class is filled with amazing children. What a blessing they are in my life! Every day is a joy! We are fast becoming friends and learning how to treat each other with kindness and respect. This month our themes are Friends, Sharing, Apples, and Animal Homes.

This week we will read the story of Pinkerton the pig in "Me First" by Helen Lester and learn that we don't always have to be first, sometimes it's just as good to be last!

Just a reminder about our homework assignment - The Preschool Stars Scrapbook page. Please include a picture of your family and tell us a little about each member. This is really fun for the children to share and it will go in their scrapbook for the year. Please no bigger than an 8 1/2" x 11" page. I appreciate your helping to complete this for the children. It really does make them feel special.
